Importance of Academic Project

Academic project is one of the most important aspects of your degree. It is so important that it always decides what’s going to be next for you. Let it be higher studies or industrial job, the whole career path is based on the project work. It is the point where you can apply knowledge of what you have been learning in the past few years. It is the point that creates engineer out of ordinary graduate/post-graduate. It is the point that creates meaning of your degree. It is the way of getting exposure and experience of what real world problems are, and how they are solved.

With fierce competition powered by a rapid change in the world economy, every graduate/post-graduate is fighting a tough career battle today in the job market. All students look for an initial breakthrough in their careers and each one of them requires a good educational qualification complemented with a good project work. Your academic project will inevitably be used as a gateway to industry and to distinguish you among your peers.

Project Mentor

Most students in their graduation or post-graduation years wish to work on some challenging and real time projects, but are afraid to do so. They fear things like, what if they don't get proper guidance or the right mentor! Dealing with real time projects is a great way of exploring your real strengths and weaknesses as an engineer, but in many cases challenging projects are not taken by students due to non-availability of good mentor.

Mentors are counsellors or advisers who guide students through the process of project development. Mentor plays very important role during project definition, project execution and completion stage. Mentor needs to have the required knowledge to guide student for the project. It’s not only resolving the technical queries during project execution, but mentor also plays important role in deciding overall path of project execution. For any successful academic project, selection of correct project topic and selection of correct mentor are two most important links.

Industrial Project

Working with industry is an important part of an engineering education. It provides students with important learning opportunities that the campus does not provide. Industrial project gets more weightage when it comes to job opportunities. Working on industrial projects gives an opportunity to student to get exposed to many non-technical aspects of project execution including professional level of personal presentation, organisation and work commitment during the project.

Industrial projects are more about solving real life problem related to companies’ range of product/services. An industrial project gives an opportunity for students to work with company when they are in academics and lays a strong foundation stone for them to work in industry.

LearnCAx Mentor Program

LearnCAx mentor program connects Students, Mentors, and Industrial/University Projects together. Through this unique program, we give an opportunity for students to work on challenging projects offered by industry or assigned by your university.

Apart from your passion for working on the project, every project needs two important things, first, necessary knowledge to execute the project and second, a good mentor. LearnCAx offers many learning options to acquire necessary knowledge to execute the project. LearnCAx also has a pool of mentors who has expertise in wide range of industrial sectors.
